Each year the Lincoln County Child Abuse Prevention Council recognizes this month with the annual Kids Carnival for Child Abuse Prevention. The goal of this year’s campaign “Connect, Listen, Support” is to promote healthy child development, positive parenting practices and community action. This year’s Kid’s Carnival will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Platte River Mall. The event will feature free carnival games for parents to play with their children, balloon artists, free lunch provided by Wal-Mart DC and more. Free parenting resources will be distributed and representatives from various child and family serving agencies will also be on hand. This event is free to parents and children. |
