Seeking Sponsors, Volunteers and Groups to Host a Game Booth!

April is recognized as National Child Abuse Prevention Month.  For the last five years the Lincoln County Child Abuse Prevention Council has hosted a community carnival to bring awareness to our mission.  The Lincoln County Child Abuse Prevention Council’s mission is to prevent child abuse through teaching and providing activities that promote healthy family lifestyles.  The success of this carnival has shown growth from 250 persons served the first year to approximately 500 persons in 2013. The Council is looking to expand the number of families we reach in Lincoln County to 1500 by 2020.

In preparation for the 2014 “Celebrate Kids” we are asking for the assistance of your organization.  As you know, it takes all of us to make a community a safe and healthy place for our children to grow up. For this type of activity to be successful, we need assistance in the following areas:

  1. Financial assistance to cover the cost of the facility, advertising, food, drink, games, and prizes.

  • Gold Sponsor - $500            ¨ Silver Sponsor - $250

  • Bronze Sponsor - $100        ¨ Friends of Children - Other

  1. Volunteers to run the food concessions, games, assistance to families, set up and clean up.

  2. Special talents, skills, booths, games and prizes that your organization or persons in your organization might be able to offer for entertainment.

The carnival will be held Saturday April 26th, 2014 at the Harvest Christian Fellowship Gymnasium (North Campus) on 2607 Rodeo Rd, North Platte, from 1-4 pm.

We are asking your organization to please respond by February 28, 2014, regarding your intentions with what you will be willing to help with.   If you have questions please contact Bobbi Carpenter at 308-520-3127 or Nan Hynes at 308-696-7544.

All families attending will be provided a Tote Bag containing educational, resource, and awareness materials.  If your organization has printed material or free gifts you would like to include, please have this material to the Council by April 1, 2014.  We would encourage you to have a booth in which you can directly hand this material out allowing families to make a connection with your organization

We are looking forward to creating new partnerships in which your organization gains recognition, free publicity, and networking with others to create a safe and healthy community for children to grow.  This event is held yearly to recognize Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness.  If for some reason you are unable to participate this year, please consider partnering with our program next year.

Plan to attend Celebrate Kids on Saturday, April 26, 2014!
