Saturday afternoon at Old Town Square dresses for the 2014 Dresses for a Cause Prom Boutique began stacking the racks. From 1:00 to 2:00 PM for each dress donated guests were entered into a drawing for a gift basket. The prom boutique will be held in March 2014 and will provide new and gently used dresses for $20 dollars or less with all proceeds benefiting the Lincoln County Child Abuse Prevention Council and Bridge of Hope Child Advocacy Center. "Last year we even started earlier than what we did this year. We have a lot of work to do between now and this March to get all these dresses collected and then as we get closer to March, sorted and priced and put up and ready for sale," said Matt Foskett with Bridge of Hope. "This is a way that we can fund those activities that we're doing while also giving back to the community and making sure that everyone can afford to go to prom.We don't anyone feeling that it's beyond their financial means.So, it's a great way for the community to be able to give back and reinvest in the community." |
