The Lincoln County Child Abuse Prevention Council will be providing backpacks to each student of the public preschool program as well as Head Start. The backpacks have our Rethink Your Reaction logo on it and contain resource information for parents as well as some school supplies for the children. Fall 2010 is our second year doing this. Update: The Council provided a total of 170 back packs for both the public Preschool students and Head Start students. Glue Sticks and Crayons provided by Walmart DC were included in the bags as well as toothbrushes, toothpaste and combs. Each bag contains information for parents on parenting tips, community resources and more. |
